Climbing Rules & Ethics has been in the making since the 1st International Sport Climbing Championship in Snowbird, Utah, (1988) when Dan Goodwin was the color commentator for CBS Sports. With sport climbing and bouldering now in the Olympics, climbing has become one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide. Given this popularity, the need for our community to be aligned has never been greater. What guided our sport in the 1980s may differ from today, but many beliefs and values have remained the same.

With more than 1,000 new climbers signing up daily, there has never been a more critical time for our community to be on the same page.

Look no further if you seek a book to help you understand a climber's mindset while avoiding the most dangerous belayer and leading climbing mistakes. This book will teach you how to prevent the most common belayer and lead climbing mistakes and how to clip like a pro.

Bonus Chapters include:

  1. List of Disciplines

  2. Tick Types

  3. Mindfulness Advice

  4. Pro Climbing Tips

  5. Bouldering Grades

  6. Leading Climbing Grades

  7. Climbing Glossary of words and terms.

May this book serve as a guiding light for our climbing community and be a starting point for future debates.
