MEET 'SPIDERDAN'

Front-Lever-off-Finger-Board_edited_edit

Daniel Goodwin (born November 7, 1955, in Cape Porpoise, Maine) is an American climbing legend known for redefining the boundaries of human potential. He first captured the world's attention with his signature blend of extreme athleticism and theatrical flair, performing gymnastic "human flag" maneuvers and death-defying one-arm flyoffs while free soloing difficult rock climbs on national television.

Goodwin took this prowess from the cliffs to the concrete jungle, achieving global acclaim for scaling some of the planet's most iconic skyscrapers. His resume includes the World Trade Center and a historic ascent of the CN Tower in Toronto, where he set a Guinness World Record by on-sight free-soloing both sides of the tower without a rope.

Beyond his physical achievements, Goodwin is renowned for his deep mindfulness practice. Adopting a philosophy of "being like water," he has mastered the ability to remain utterly calm under the most extreme pressure, executing precision movements even when his life is literally on the line.

Today, at 70, "SpiderDan" is still climbing, embracing a lifestyle of longevity, health, and happiness.
